Some authors opined that the forbidden fruit is from a fig tree, and not an apple, might have some credence as the following short documentary will reveal. The Kadazan of Sabah had a folklore of how their ancestors originated, i.e. from a red fig tree or Nunuk Ragang. It was also a common belief among elderly pagans that the nunuk trees are homes of fairies and evil spirits who can make them sick when offended so thus the practices of giving or sacrificing fowls or pigs to appease them.
Among the evangelical and born-again Christians, this is but a deception and lies of the devils to get attention and worship from the unbelievers.
